Stretch your mind by reading a theologian’s interaction with a leading sociologist

My goal with this blog is to target the people in my church.  The basic question I ask before posting is, “Will this be of interest and benefit to my congregation?”  (Even when I include stupid stuff).

As a pastor I do want to challenge our congregation intellectually.  To that end, consider reading or listening to Dr. Al Mohler interviewing sociologist Peter Berger.

This is TREMENDOUSLY important and relevant material.  If you come away being able to define or discuss:

  • Secularization
  • Plausibility structures
  • Cognitive contamination
  • Mohler’s brief interaction with Berger’s position.

If you come away being able to define or discuss those terms, you will have benefitted in a great way.
