What a moving tribute to our soldiers. Chris, although my father never served in the U.S. Military, my three brothers did.
I recall at the age of nine, I was dropped off at the corner by my school bus and as I was making the trek up the drive-way…I was lifted up by my middle brother, Ralph, who came up behind me and before I knew what was happening, he spun me around and I just collapsed in his arms in total shock and happiness.
He had served a tour in Vietnam and although I was too young to totally understand what that all meant, I just knew that the atmosphere at home would somehow be different, (in a positive way), now that he was home.
A memory permanently engraved in my ‘bank’… thanks for sharing.
I may not always comment, but I always read….
love your blog..

Socorro,
Thanks so much for that encouragement! It is a real blessing and encouragement to hear from you.
I pray that you will have a great weekend.
Chris.
I watched it 3 times. And cried my way through each… So grateful for these dads, and what they stand for.
