Tonight at dinner, my family read from Big Truths for Young Hearts:
. . . The only way we could be thinking together about the goodness of God in this book is because God has shared with us the secret of who he is. We cannot discover who God is or figure him out on our own . . .

Think with me about some of the qualities of God that we can see by looking at different parts of the world in which we live. When you look closely at a flower, for example, you see the knowledge and wisdom and beauty of God. How very, very smart God is! God is the who who figured out how to make living things grow, and they all grow according to a lot of very complicated rules that we put into every living thing.

Chris, this sounds like a GREAT book; I’m definitely going to have to pick it up. I’m always looking for new and creative ways to teach them just how very cool the God who created them is!
