You’ve no doubt heard the tragic story of Pastor Fred Winters who was murdered during a church service. Here is an interview with Pastor Winters’ widow, Cindy.
I am especially blessed by how Cindy Winters offers to meet with the parents of the man who murdered her husband. She also speaks wisely about the challenges she and her daughters face.
Would you pray for the Winters’ family?
Wow. What grace. Thank you for posting this. I will be praying for them.
This is a picture of what a ture relationship with God looks like.
I watch this and see how God is right there with this family helping them with every need. Thank you Lord for showing me how much you love your children.
I am praying for this family!!!
To see this much faith is really a blessing. The things we go through and think are huge, are really so small. The family being spared from seeing this happen is just another example of why not to question God’s presence. They are in my prayers.
When we step back and look at how God weaved the mosaic of our lives in heaven, I am convinced all will be clear to us. This is not an ability most people possess while still here on earth. Cindy Winters grace and unbelievable strength through Christ allow her to actually step back and be in a place of acceptance when it comes to her husbands death…something very few of us can do. We go through our lives questioning why God allows certain things to happen, sometimes even blaming God. Cindy stands back and see’s a very difficult situation for her and her family but she respects God’s decision to take Fred and knows that she must keep being “a soldier for Christ” like Fred was. I believe that God undoubtedly had a bigger plan for Fred and he is probably up in heaven now spreading even more light and laughter. I believe Cindy should know take on speaking and writing because she certainly is an amazing example of what a true Christian should be. God Bless all that were involved in this tragedy, many, many prayers.
Well said Melissa. Thank you for commenting.
I saw your review on TV so looked up your website. Forgiveness is a deep subject, I carried much bitterness to people that shunned me after I left the Amish so I could have a better relationship ith My Lord and Saviour. I found that the only way I can forgive truelly is with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I could not do it on my own but when God stepped in with the Holy Spirit it came so freely. I am sure you must have experienced the same thing, I comment you from the depth of my heart to be so strong in the Lord!!!!!!
