We cannot go far wrong if we remind ourselves again that Isaiah’s name means “the Lord saves” and conclude that the primary theme of the Book of Isaiah is salvation. Isaiah 45:22, then can serve us well as a theme verse for the book as a whole: “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.” Ronald F. Youngblood.

Emanuel, sweet child of Bethlehem,
Almighty God who choose with man to dwell
Who came to earth to ransom fallen man,
And died the message of Gods love to tell.
His birth was in a dirty stable stall.
The cattle’s manger was his only bed.
The King of Glory, Master over all,
Asleep where all the animals were fed.
The shepherds came and offered him their praise,
Who heard the angel’s wondrous voices sing.
The wise men tracked the star for many days,
And many precious gifts to him did bring.
Messiah, God with us, Emanuel,
Forever in our hearts may Jesus dwell.
