Without Christ, we are spiritually dead. We have no more hope of helping ourselves than a corpse has of resuscitating itself.
Paul said, we were servants of Satan, following his ways, and enslaved, as the author of Hebrews says, all our lives by the fear of death.
Not just the really bad people, “All of also lived among them at one time . . .
Paul added, “We were by nature, objects of wrath.” God is righteously angry with the lost.
What an amazing Savior Christ is, that while we were in that place, while we were still sinners Christ died for us, so, that we who were once objects of wrath can have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
