So waiting to see proof of historical reliability of NT….Just goes to show that the issue is not proof…it is an issue of blindness and lostness of man, by his own choosing…
Agreed . . . the problem is not that the Truth is not available, nor is it intellectual. Rather, unbelievers suppress the Truth (Romans 1:21 ff).

Given new findings/research, these numbers are considerably different, which provide even stronger evidence of the NT reliability. See here, for example.
I’d recommend a book edited by Daniel Wallace titled Revisiting the Corruption of the New Testament. Wallace argues that the total is now over 6,000 Greek NT manuscripts, and there are also thousands of manuscripts in other languages (such as Latin, Syriac, Coptic, etc. Thus the total number is actually around 25,000 NT manuscripts ranging from the first century to the time of the printing press.
