And Lucy looked this way and that and soon found that a new and beautiful thing had happened to her. Whatever she looked at, however far away it might be, once she had fixed her eyes steadily on it, became quite clear and close is if she were looking through a telescope . . . . The Bible teaches that the destination of God’s people is an earthly destination – – a new earth. And, Lewis’ point is, as the Brits would say, “spot on.”
The other night my 12 year old asked me again about how much similarity there will be between this earth and the New Earth. We were so blessed to reflect together that God is redeeming this Creation from corruption of the Fall and that we look forward to an earthly destination.

I stumbled across your blog. I have to say that I cried at that point in reading the Narnia series. I believe that a better understanding of what the New Earth will be has been more helpful to me than any other new understanding has in many years. Over the years it seems to me that I have heard very little on this subject from the pulpit.
